Hyderabad: Film star and Jana Sena party founder Pawan Kalyan today exuded confidence that his party will come to power in Andhra Pradesh in 2019. Pawan who started his north coastal Andhra tour from Ichapuram in Srikakulam district today said that the people were looking for an alternative to the existing parties and Jana Sena party will fill the vacuum and provide an effective alternative.

As part of his “Porata Yatra” (Struggle tour) Pawan Kalyan was scheduled to visit two assembly constituencies every day. The star turned politician will spend 45 days in the region.

He started his tour with offering “Ganga Pooja” prayers at the sea coast in Kaviti Mandal. The women from fishermen community accorded him a warm welcome.

However Pawan Kalyan’s programme was marred by the confusion among his supporters as the exact nature of his tour was not clear until the last minute. While it was earlier believed that the star will travel by bus and interact with the people, later it turned out that he will travel by his car and only address the public meetings and there will not be any intermingling with the masses.

Party leaders said that during the visit he will understand the major problems of the people in the region and their solutions will be part of the party’s manifesto for the next elections. His attention will be mainly focused on the demand for the Special Category Status and the Railway Zone in Visakhapatnam.

Pawan has already made it clear that his party will contest all the assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies in the state and there will not be any alliance with any party.
