Dubai: The Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) is set to end with a bang today (Saturday), with at least Dh1.6 million worth of prizes set to be given away to some lucky shoppers, organisers confirmed on Thursday.
The mega prizes, including brand-new cars and a kilo of gold, will all be raffled off in one day, January 27, Saturday, and they're part of the last round of activities to mark the final weekend of the citywide shopping bonanza.
Those who wish to win big will still have a chance to participate and all they need to do is spend their shopping money at some of the participating stores or purchase a raffle ticket.
The Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group (DGJG) is dishing out Dh160,000 worth of prizes, while Dh300,000 worth of rewards will be coming from the Dubai Shopping Malls Group.
How to win 1 kilo of gold
On the last day of DSF, shoppers at retail outlets under the DGJG will have the opportunity to get their hands on one kilo of gold, while three winners will get to win tola bars.
The DGJG has been conducting daily draws at Deira Gold Souk and granting gold prizes since the start of DSF. It had earlier set aside Dh5 million for the prizes, including 33 kilos of gold, which have been up for grabs to those who purchase gold and diamond jewellery, pearl or watches worth Dh500.
How to win cars and cash
A lucky shopper will get to drive home an Infiniti QX60 and receive Dh150,000 in cash after organisers will pick out the lucky winner in the daily Infiniti Mega Raffle on Saturday at Global Village. Those who wish to participate can purchase a raffle ticket for Dh200 at Eppco and Enoc petrol stations, Global Village, Zoom, metro stations across the city. Raffle tickets can be purchased until February 3.
The Nissan Grand Raffle, another DSF lottery that is giving away Nissan Patrol, will also be taking place on the same day and the prize at stake is valued at Dh300,000.
