Following boy group and labelmate 2AM’s Jo Kwon, BtoB’s leader Eunkwang will enlist in the military as an active duty soldier on August 21.
His agency, Cube Entertainment, confirmed the news and stated that details of the time and training camp will not be disclosed as Eunkwang requested to enlist quietly.
Due to the changes of the South Korean military service law taking effect from the beginning of this month, South Korean men can only delay their military mandatory service until the age of 28.
The K-Pop artist reached out to fans through his agency and apologised for his abrupt mandatory military enlistment.
Born in 1990, Eunkwang is the first member of BtoB to enlist in the military. He is well known for his powerful vocals and songwriting skills and has appeared in variety shows and musicals.
