As if the final match of the World Cup weren’t exciting enough, Doctor Who fans got a glimpse of the upcoming season of the show in anticipation of its upcoming panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

Just under a minute long, the trailer does a lot of heavy lifting along the way, introducing not one but three companions for the new Doctor.

Bradley Walsh (Graham), Mandip Gil (Yasmin) and Tosin Cole (Ryan) will all join Jodie Whittaker in the 11th season of the revived British classic.

In the teaser, the three find themselves touched by a bit of mystical time-bending, the likes of which only the Doctor can provide.

“The new Doctor is going to need new friends. We’re thrilled to welcome Mandip, Tosin and Bradley to the Doctor Who family. They’re three of Britain’s brightest talents and we can’t wait to see them dive into brand new adventures with Jodie’s Doctor,” showrunner Chris Chibnall said in a statement about casting.

Whittaker is the first woman to take on the iconic role of the Doctor in a move some thought would never happen.

The Doctor Who gang will be stateside later this week for a Comic-Con panel introducing Whittaker’s Doctor to the world. The good doc will be joined by Gil, Cole, Chibnall and executive producer Matt Strevens.

Season 11 of Doctor Who is scheduled for an autumn premiere.
