Dubai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is back in Abu Dhabi to film a series of adrenaline-charged car chase stunt sequences for his upcoming thriller, Race 3.

Director Remo D’Souza took to his social media accounts to announce the grand news with the hashtag #lastlap and #Eid2018, alluding to the final stunt scenes that are remaining to be filmed and the thriller’s release date in June.

"Here we are for the last lap in Abu Dhabi. It is a #RaceToFinishLine. It is going to be one hell of a ride,” D’Souza posted on Sunday, along with a picture of a yellow flashy sports car in the background.

It’s not the first time that Khan is filming in Abu Dhabi as the actor filmed stunt sequences last year for his blockbuster Tiger Zinda Hai, in which he played a slick spy. In Race 3, he's reportedly playing the role of a rich businessman who lives on the edge as his business transactions border on the risky.

Produced by Ramesh Taurani, Race 3 is a part of the hit thriller series that’s popular for its action-driven tales revolving around rich people mired in conspiracies, deception and double-crossing. The thrillers are invariably glossy and gritty.

The first two instalments featured Bollywood royalty Saif Ali Khan in the pivotal role and was directed by duo Abbas-Mastan, but the third part has Bollywood’s top box-office draw Khan taking up the lead role along with director D’Souza of ABCD film fame.

Race 3 also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, Anil Kapoor and Saqib Saleem.
