Director-producer Michelle MacLaren, behind several Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad and Westworld episodes, will host a discussion at the Dubai International Film Festival (Diff), which runs until December 13 at the Madinat Jumeirah.
MacLaren will be delving into the creative process of taking scripts and turning them into hit series, in an insightful Q&A session on December 11, which is being held in partnership with entertainment network, OSN.
Lebanese-Tunisian actress Nadine Nassib Njeim will also head to Diff, who is best known for her roles in Arabic series Nos Youm, Samra, What If: Aka Laow and Al Hayba.
Njeim will be seen at an ‘In Conversation’ session, discussing her career and the development of Arabic film and TV.
The cast of SNL Bil Arabi, including comedic duo Khalid Mansoor and Shadi Alfons, will host also a special interactive masterclass at the festival, sharing the art of comedy script and sketch writing with fans of the genre. SNL Bil Arabi, which has just completed its fourth season, is filmed in the region.
