Bollywood actress and yoga enthusiast Shilpa Shetty Kundra and singer Kailash Kher will be in Abu Dhabi du forum, Yas Island, as part of a three-day event called Sparkles Of India 2018 held as a part of India’s Independence Day celebrations in the UAE.
The series of events, held from August 16 to 18 as part of Abu Dhabi Summer Season in the UAE capital, will see Shetty participate in an interactive session on August 16 where she will share her experiences as an actress and her re-invention as a fitness expert. The actress, who has featured in hits such as the Bollywood thriller Baazigar and participated in Celebrity Big Brother in the UK, is popular for her amiable fitness videos and her cookery shows.
Shetty isn’t the sole attraction during this weekend filled with cultural shows, parades, and family-friendly events, all designed to stoke patriotic fervour among Indians.
The following day after Shetty’s session, Kher’s band Kailasa will perform on stage.
The festival’s 2018 edition will also host performances by India’s Got Talent finalists, the Beat Breakers. Celebrity chef Varun Inamdar of Get Curried TV show fame will conduct live cooking sessions daily. Tickets cost Dh45 and above.
