Land Rover have launched a smartphone called the Explore phone. Developed with Bullitt Group, the Land Rover Explore mobile phone is a tough device inspired by the Discovery SUV. The phone will launch at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The three main features of the device are its design, its battery and its durability. The phone borrows design cues from the Land Rover Discovery and runs on a powerful 4,000mAh battery.

The battery can reportedly last an entire day with the 5.5-inch screen on and GPS navigation activated. The device also comes with an add-on Adventure pack that doubles the battery life and boosts GPS and mapping.

Durability is one of the most important features of the device. It’s drop-tested to 1.8 meters (with a screen protector) it is also water proof – and this includes salt water too. Together with the sturdiness and water resistance, the device can also withstand extreme temperatures, humidity, thermal shock, vibration and adamantium (I’m kidding about the last one).
