Comedy icon Kapil Sharma will be delighting fans and newcomers alike with his side-splitting routine in Abu Dhabi on Friday August 12, debuting yet another fantastic addition to Abu Dhabi Summer Season.
Sharma, currently the star of the ongoing hit comedy series The Kapil Sharma Show, will entertain the audience with his repertoire of jokes springing from his quick wit and observations. Performing without a script, Sharma has proven to be a master of spontaneous entertainment, winning the hearts of fans from all over the world. His latest performance comes as part of Abu Dhabi Summer Season’s celebration of Indian Independence Day, August 15.
The comedy legend has been awarded a wealth of accolades for the quality of his routines, having won the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year 2013 Entertainer of the Year award and subsequently been ranked third in the Most Admired Indian Personality List by The Economic Times in 2015. Sharma has also won Best Actor and Best Comedy Show awards for his previous series, including other famous television hits Comedy Nights With Kapil and Kahani Comedy Circus Ki.
His experience in entertainment has only further expanded in recent years, including his Bollywood debut in Abbas Mustan’s hit romantic comedy Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon in September 2015. In the same month of his inaugural Bollywood appearance last year, Sharma was personally invited by President Pranab Mukherjee to the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official home of the President of India, in recognition of his contributions to a nation-wide campaign to clean India’s streets.
