Dubai: Fancy sleeping in a hotel room that lets you step into a movie set?

The newly opened Aloft City Centre Deira Hotel by retail conglomerate Majid Al Futtaim will be offering something different – suites that will enable guests to relive some of the films or characters they fell in love with.

The 304-room property that officially opened its doors to the public on Wednesday has cinema-themed suites that can take movie buffs into the fantasy world of films.

The especially designed rooms aren't ready for guests yet, but  there is a Bollywood Suite for those who love Indian movies and there’s a room that caters to Hollywood fans, as well.

Guests who love James Bond can book the Agent House, while Avengers fans or comic-book character geeks may be tempted to spend a night or two in the Superhero Suite.

The rooms are expected to be ready anytime this month.

Not all the rooms have movie-inspired decors, but other accommodations that could cost just a little over Dh1,000 per night when booked during the Eid holidays offer views of Dubai Creek and the city’s skyline, with the Burj Khalifa visible in a distance.

Bound to be a hit with film lovers, the first-of-its kind trendy hotel will also feature an outdoor licensed cinema, where guests can enjoy movies along with their choice of food and beverage outside the four walls of a theatre.

“With this being the first hotel to offer movie-themed suites, along with an outdoor licensed cinema… we’re looking forward to bring a fresh new vibe to this side of Dubai,” said Sammy Gani, general manager of Aloft City Centre Deira.

The 13th hotel owned by Majid Al Futtaim in the region is conveniently located as it has a direct link to City Centre Deira.

Majid Al Futtaim’s portfolio also includes shopping malls, hypermarkets and supermarkets, retail stores, restaurants and cafes.
