Dubai: Rexton Technologies will open a Dh60 million light-emitting diode (LED) light manufacturing plant and laboratory at its headquarters in Sharjah Airport Industrial Freezone (SAIF).

The firm, the manufacturing arm of Kingston Holdings, said the developments, due to be inaugurated on Monday April 9, will be the largest LED light factory in the Middle East and North Africa.

Lalu Samuel, Chairman and Managing Director of Kingston Holdings, said the plant, which has the capacity to manufacture 100,000 recessed fittings, 150,000 batten fittings, and a number of commercial weather proof fittings, highbays and floodlights, was needed to meet the growing global demands for Kingston products in 100 countries around the world.
