Empower CEO Ahmad Bin Shafar participated in a panel on global impact at the International District Cooling Association’s annual conference in Vancouver.
He highlighted Dubai’s achievements in district cooling, and shared insights on policies, business models and emerging trends.
“Sustainability projects are one of the key elements that Dubai and the UAE have adopted, making it one of the world’s leading cities in many global competitiveness indicators,” he said, adding that Empower’s programmes supported the Dubai Demand Side Management Strategy to reduce energy and water demand in the emirate by 30 er cent by 2030.
