Instagrammers send their greetings to the UAE in all sorts of ways—from dressing in traditional clothes, balloons, and even showing off objects, from cake to nails, decked in UAE colours.

@jsemtomas: “Here in Dubai there is nothing like “normal” considering all the different corners we all come from. Today we celebrated the National Day and I proudly joined celerbrations in traditional attire called kandura and along with my friend in an abaya. And needless to say we rocked. Nevertheless, keeping eyes wide open and being willing to expand your horizons – these two aspects seem to be helping me a lot. #UAENationalDay #helloUAE”

@lionel.pinto: “The world just got a little better. #NationalDayCake #UAENationalDay”

@naimazahin: “There are so many reasons I love the UAE. I can’t just list down one. Having moved here exactly a year ago, it truly feels like home away from home. The fine fusion of eastern and western cultures makes it even more amazing. Happy 45th, UAE. You’re amazing.”

@anrihamilton: “Starting the #nationalday celebrations at work today with flags and balloons, but more importantly, cake! #nationalpride”

Its rich culture, tradition, pragmatic and benevolent rulers, hospitality, the scintillating progress it has made and myraid opportunities it has given to millions of expats. It is a perfect example of a fine blend of east and west, modern yet preserving the age-old culture, melting pot of various faiths and beliefs and a place where more than two hundred nationalities reside harmoniously. iIt is a place where the priceless qualities like humaneness, integrity, sharing, caring, lending a helping hand and bringing hope and cheer in people’s life are valued and preserved. It is a ‘Home away from home’ to millions. I am proud and privileged to reside in this beautiful country.”
