Neola Castelino has made it her mission to help municipality workers in Al Nahda 2, by disposing of massage parlour cards.

Dubai

A lot of reports have been published in Gulf News about massage cards that are left on cars around the UAE. Most people just get annoyed by these cards and throw them on the road, which makes the place look more untidy.

Day by day, it looks like the people who drop such cards off are becoming bolder, in this activity. They come by at any time of the day and leave multiple cards on each car.

As a resident, it disturbs me a lot and as a young person, I cannot stop those men from leaving behind a trail of cards. So, I thought of helping the Municipality workers in my area, which is Al Nahda 2 in Dubai. I walked around and removed massage cards and other advertisement business cards from many cars’ windows. I collected more than 100 cards and threw them in the Municipality bin.

Whenever I am free, I take a walk around my building and try to remove as many cards from the cars as possible, which at least helps the Municipality workers who must find it difficult to pick up the cards from the ground.

Unfortunately, there is no decrease in the massage cards in my area. It seems like the more often the municipal worker removes them, the more frequently the men visit the area to leave cards behind. I sympathise with the workers and so am just doing this as social work.
