Lucky’s surgery was scheduled yesterday. Even though it is a simple procedure, the cost of the operation is expected to be Dh2,000

Dubai

Lucky was an ordinary pet until his owner gave him up when leaving the UAE.

This gentle Labrador-cross was close to death when he came to us, but because of his gentle nature, people went the extra mile to change her short destiny.

While he was recuperating in a foster home, the foster family realised his eye infection was going on for a long time. On getting the opinion of two different veterinarians, they were advised to have her eye membrane removed to prevent chronic infection. Already, Lucky was experiencing severe discomfort and deterioration of eyesight.

His surgery was scheduled yesterday. Even though it is a simple procedure, the cost of the operation is expected to be Dh2,000.

Our funds are mainly allocated for preventive measures, such as trap, neuter and release (TNR) programs, and without the community’s help, this dog will not stand a chance.

If you are willing to help, please do so directly by contacting Al Barsha Vet Clinic in Dubai.

Post-surgery, Lucky will need a foster home, and more importantly, a forever home, where he can understand that not all humans are ready to abandon him.

You can contact me if you are willing to provide him that home, at 050-7706711 or email info@friendsofanimalsdxb.com.
