Dubai

Meet Blue, a special and beautiful male cat. He was found wandering in the Springs area in Dubai in March this year and he was obviously a pet. He was taken in by a kind woman, who tried everything to find his owner, but to no avail. He was not microchipped.

He is a happy boy, soft, gentle and talkative, but he does not like meowing and instead he makes some funny noises. He likes being indoors and loves people. He will sit or lie next to you or on your lap and you can tell that he likes to be close to his humans.

His rescuer and current fosterer said: “He loves playing, adores his small, colourful ball when I throw it for him. He also loves the small, soft kitten toy. He is so playful that he can play with a piece of rope for an hour.”

He also likes being outdoors and will sit in the garden, watching the water sprinklers. He also enjoys climbing trees and answers when he is called. He is very smart, learns quickly and will be a great companion for someone.

Blue is about five to six years old and will make the perfect pet. He is neutered and will be microchipped. Unfortunately, he was tested positive for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and so he will need to be in a good, stable home and should not be allowed to roam freely. FIV is a cat-specific illness and cannot be transmitted to humans, dogs or other non-feline pets.

Blue would be ideal as an indoor cat, but if supervised outside or in a confined area, that would be alright. He seems not to get on with other cats, but there have only been brief encounters, with no integration done. He has not been assessed with dogs.
