Terrorism – this evil game must end
Daesh leader Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi killed so many people (‘Daesh chief Al Baghdadi killed, says ‘confirmed information’ from Syrian Observatory’, Gulf News, July 12). Evil people have to come to an end sooner or later. People who choose the wrong path end up being wrong. People who kill others are not humans, but devils. Whoever is doing evil work – either government or terrorist – they will pay for their crime sooner or later. I wish for a peaceful world, but it seems like it won’t happen in this life. One after another these evil people emerge and terrorise the world. There should be a permanent solution to it. It looks like it’s all business to us. One is doing it to sell weapons and another is simply using it for destruction. Weapons were meant to protect, but it’s used to show who is in power and who can kill more people. This game has to be stopped.

The meaning of education
People say that education is the key to unlock the world – it’s a passport to freedom. However, education has its worth only if it serves the actual meaning of the word. It comprises of ‘intelligence’ and ‘character’. Unfortunately, people are taught how to make a living, but not how to live.
Somehow our institutions are lacking the meaning of true education. This can be eradicated if the teachers understand that the future of the world exists in their classrooms. They should be taught how to think and not what to think. The fees should be according to the budget assigned by the authorities to eliminate the clouds of illiteracy. It is the right of every human to get an adequate education. It is said that a child without an education is like a bird without wings and a man without education is like a building without a foundation. As education provides direction to recognise the purpose of this life.
In a nutshell, education is the vaccine of violence as it develops confidence that breeds hope and hope is peace.

I think you’ve not tried Biryani at Al Falak Restaurant Hyderabadi Cuisine. They serve the best biryani all over the UAE. It’s located in Ras Al Khaimah. You must come and try this finger-licking good biryani.

Not spicy enough
Sadly, Silver Spoon’s biryani is not up to the standard. They possibly put in a good effort to make their biryani special for a VIP customer on eventful days. I’ve ordered there many a times previously for a party at home and, suffice to say, no one ate it and it was a disaster. Totally killed my Eid. Nayaab Haandi definitely serves better biryani - it’s just spicier.

An Abu Dhabi favourite
The only one I tried is Pak Lyari from the list and their biryani is good. I need to try others. Not on the list is Ritaj. It’s good, too, but it’s in Abu Dhabi.

Best in Ras Al Khaimah
No doubt the most delicious one is by Alflak Hyderabadi in Ras Al Khaimah. Last week I went there with my friends after a Jebel Jais trip. It made our day.

The true winner
The finalist number three serves the true taste of biryani. It has an amazing aroma with fresh Indian mutton, long basmati rice and, of course, a very good quantity at a reasonable price. I really enjoyed it and would vote it as number one.

The secret
The key to good biryani is the basmati rice - double chabi from India is best. Also, the mutton must be of a goat that has been reared on green fresh grass. Saffron from Afghanistan and apricots, almonds and spice from Pakistan is best.
