This is with reference to my etisalat eLife connection, with internet and a landline at my residence. I received the internet connection from etisalat. However, since I am not interested in wireless telephone and a set-top box, the same were not supplied or delivered to me. But every month, I am being charged an additional Dh30 in my monthly bill for the add-on rental services.

Every month, I regularly call 101 and log a complaint on the wrongful charges, and the customer care representative duly informs me that henceforth, etisalat will not charge this amount in my monthly bills.

But again, in the next month’s bill, the charges appear routinely, without any correction.

In this regard, I would like to register my concern so the issue can be escalated properly. I request Gulf News to help me resolve my problem once and for all.

From Mr Subramanian Lakshmanan

Sharjah

The management of etisalat responds:

Etisalat apologises for all the inconvenience caused to Mr Lakshmanan and necessary measures have been taken in this regard. The amount is now refunded and both services have been removed from the system. Technically, this issue is resolved and will be reflected in the next billing cycle.

Mr Lakshmanan responds:

Thank you so much for your intervention. The issue is resolved.
