I would like to complain regarding my credit card issue. This is during the time Barclays Bank existed — they have already received Dh9,000 from an insurance company during submission of my claim, after loss of employment. A bank representative confirmed that they had received the amount. Now, Barclays has merged with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB). When I asked ADIB to provide me with a clearance letter, they asked me to pay the outstanding balance again. Kindly help me to solve my credit card issue.

From Mr Mohammad Afzal Biabani

Abu Dhabi

The management of ADIB responds:

Thank you bringing this to our attention. Please note this issue has already been closed.

Kindly note that due to a technical issue from migration from Barclays, the customer account was showing outstanding on the system even though it was already settled. The customer can collect the clearance letter now.

Mr Biabani responds:

Thank you Gulf News for solving this issue. I have already received confirmation from ADIB that my card issue is already settled and advised me to collect the clearance letter.
