I made a security deposit of Dh2,000 to have the facility of international roaming services on my post-paid mobile number while travelling.

I then changed my mobile services to prepaid services and prior to that, I made a request for the refund of my security deposit of Dh2,000 paid for roaming services.

I requested a refund from etisalat in November 2016. After that, I visited them 25 times to collect cash, and eventually, the manager requested that I put in a request for bank transfer.

Since the past four months, I have not received anything.

I lodged a complaint on April 6, 2017. Now, they say that the complaint has been closed, without any fund transfer. Since over six months. I have been going to their head office, sending emails, and calling 101. Please resolve this issue.

Thank you for bringing Mr Bhatia’s concerns to our attention. Etisalat customer service team would want to apologise for all the inconvenience. The roaming deposit is now transferred to his account and he has confirmed the same. The customer is updated and the case is now closed.

Mr Bhatia responds:

With sincere gratitude, I would like to inform Gulf News that the issue has been resolved.
