Old picture
Gulf News is publishing the wrong image whenever a major accident occurs (“6 accidents in Abu Dhabi on first day of Ramadan”, Gulf News, May 28). In this news report, the picture used, was taken on May 18, 2014, when an accident occurred along Ras Al Khor-Dubai road. The picture has our company vehicle in it.
We have noticed that the newspaper frequently uploads this picture, whenever a major accident is reported anywhere in the UAE. Please do not repeat the same image, as it gives people a bad impression of us. Please take the necessary action.

Thank you for your feedback. The image in question was supplied and in our digital library. Therefore it got picked up for accident related stories. However, we did state that it was being used for illustrative purposes only. But we take cognisance of your complaint. We have now removed the image from our website’s database.
