Abu Dhabi: If you want to be a singer but don’t have the voice for it, you still have hope. Roof Top Rhythms is launching the first ever Lip Sync War in Abu Dhabi on September 15. To be organised in association with Jean Hellon Productions, the event will be held at the Courtyard by Marriott World Trade Centre.
“After a strong first season in Dubai, we are bringing the event to the capital on the request of our fans here. It is modelled on the popular TV show hosted by LL Cool J and gets people to the mic to perform a song of their choice without saying a word,” said Dorian Dorian Rogers, founder of Rooftop Rhythms. “We have had monthly events in Dubai since last October and many have found their hidden talent lies in simply moving their lips to the words.”
Participants have to register for the event via its Facebook link.
DJ A.L.L.A.D will play their chosen tunes for which they have to lip sync.
The winner, chosen by the audience, will receive a ‘brunch for two’ voucher at Courtyard by Marriott World Trade Centre and will qualify for the grand finale Lip Sync War in May 2018.
