Dubai Joyalukkas Group marked ‘Work Out Day’ on November 14 with a gruelling work out session at Zabeel Park.

All employees of the leading jewellery retailer took part in a two hour long session held as a part of Dubai Fitness Challenge and World Diabetes Day, to showcase their commitment to personal health and wellbeing.

The event was headed by John Paul Alukkas, executive director at Joyalukkas Group.

“We welcome the challenge of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council for Dubai Government,” he said.

“We see this as a great opportunity to encourage our staff to lead more active lives. We timed our challenge for World Diabetes Day, that is observed on November 14 to also promote healthy eating habits and lifestyle. We hosted our Alukkas family to some energy-fueled food,” he added.

Joyalukkas was among 215 corporates in UAE that took part in the month long fitness challenge than ended on November 18.

The unprecedented initiative brought together public and private sector players to drive city-wide movement that encouraged residents and visitors of all ages and fitness levels to commit to 30 minutes of daily physical activity for 30 days by providing free sports, workout classes, pop-up gyms, weekend fitness carnivals and expert advice
