DUBAI If you’ve gotten to the point where the mere thought of working out makes you bored sick, then enliven your fitness regime by heading to the The Green Planet at City Walk this weekend.

The tropical rainforest will host a yoga and meditation session unlike anything you’ve experienced before to mark the second anniversary celebrations of the 136.1 Yoga Studio in Dubai

The 90-minute session promises to stimulate the mind, body and soul as participants will be led through a series of postures in a scenic and serene setting, complete with lush greenery and colourful butterflies and hundreds of birds.

Harmony

Yashwant Saran, director of 136.1 Yoga Studio, said the idea was to offer a place where participants are in harmony with nature.

“Yoga and meditation are all about breathing, relaxing, and reconnecting with your inner nature. What better setting for this practice than a tropical rainforest,” he said.

“Given the climatic conditions of the region, practising yoga in the open is a big challenge. But the Green Planet is the perfect venue for it,” he added.

According to Saran, the natural sunlight in the rainforest has immense health benefits.

“Dubai residents usually tend to stay indoors due to the soaring heat, and end up with Vitamin D deficiency. A moderate amount of sunlight helps in absorption of calcium, boosts the immune system and keeps bones healthy,” he said.

The session is open to all, beginners or advanced enthusiasts. A 90-minute session costs Dh100. To book, contact: 04-441 6287 or email them at: dubaimarina@136point1.com.
