To be held at Dubai’s Shangri-La Hotel on September 22 and 23, the House of Zen exhibition is being launched by Zen Productions, brainchild of entrepreneur Zenofer Fathima who has been in Dubai for 20 years.

“Nobody had done this before, so it was high time we had an exclusively Malaysian exhibition covering everything from lifestyle, art and culture to fashion, jewellery and food,” said Fathima who will be hosting a television show by the same name House of Zen from next month.

House of Zen is Fathima’s second television show, the first being FoodAddict, a TV show focusing on Malaysian cuisine.

“The exhibition will introduce several top brands from Malaysia. It will also travel to different cities. There are many hidden gems in Malaysia which are not known globally and shoppers here in Dubai are always looking for unique pieces,” said Fathima.

She said her own penchant for all things Malaysian began during her visits to Malaysia where her grandparents and other family members lived. “There is so much to learn, enjoy and cherish from the Malaysian culture,” she said.

The show and exhibition will feature Indian model-turned-actor Rahul Dev, Fathima said, adding that the exhibition is being held with the cooperation of the Consulate General of Malaysia and the Malaysian Business Council in Dubai, besides Brest Friends, part of the Al Jalila Foundation.
