Dubai: The father of a four-year -old Indian boy suffering from thalassemia is seeking financial help as the child needs to undergo bone marrow transplant.

“Every month my son, Syed Ansar, has to get a blood transfusion done. If it is delayed by even a few days, he falls ill. The monthly treatment is proving to be very expensive and we have been looking for a permanent solution. “I met doctors at the Christian Medical Collage Hospital in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. They advised bone marrow transplant. They have a donor match for him but the treatment will cost Dh450,000,” said Hussain, a sales manager who earns Dh8,000 a month.

“It is impossible for me to fund the procedure on my own. I have no idea where I will get the money from, I can only pray for a miracle,” said Hussain who lives in Sharjah with his wife and another two-year-old son.
