DUBAI: The fun and entertainment quotient in Dubai is all set to hit a new high when the region’s first aqua theatre opens with La Perle by Dragone, a Vegas-style spectacle in Al Habtoor City next month.

Directed by the legendary artistic director Franco Dragone, 65, the show will make a permanent residence at the purpose-built 1,300 seat theatre which features an ‘aqua-stage’ filled with 2.5 million litres of water.
“We are excited to bring a unique project like no other for Dubai residents. La Perle will achieve a new milestone in entertainment with a show so spectacular that we had to build a theatre around it,” said Dragone who is credited with some of the most acclaimed theatre acts in the world, including Cirque du Soleil and The Land of Legends.
La Perle will feature a cast of 65 world-class artists performing breath-taking aqua and aerial feats which include diving 35 metres into a water-filled stage and flying around the auditorium on high-powered winches.
The show will make its splashing debut at the theatre on August 31 with daily shows Tuesday to Saturday. Tickets priced between Dh400 and Dh1,600 are available on www.laperle.platinumlist.net
