What is Electric Run?
Daman’s ActiveLife Electric Run Recharged is a night time 5k fun run. The event combines the adrenaline of a workout with the vibes of a dance party –– think neon lights, pumping music culminating in a party with top DJs. This year it’s heading to a new venue, the Zabeel Park. International DJs, Scott B and LPhunk by Tala Samman. Dubai is about to be lit!
What is new this year?
A big highlight this year is the new wearable tech called the Electroband which each participant will be wearing. The bracelet lights up and pulsates in tune with live music. It has redefined concerts across the world including Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour and is now coming to the 5k run.
Is this a competitive event for runners?
The event is for people who want to experience a different and unique night out with friends. It’s not timed – or competitive – and is open to people of all ages and fitness abilities. It’s more of a 5k party than a race to get a PB (Personal Best) at.
Where can people buy tickets?
People can register online at www.ElectricRun.ae, GO Sport stores and at selected Fitness First clubs. There are discounts for teams of four or more as well as individual and deluxe tickets that have additional merchandise. Teams also pick their own names which is something we encourage them to do to have fun and get creative with, we’ve seen some fantastic ones already.
