1. Dubai Frame, Dubai
This 150-metre structure connects the past and present of Dubai by offering visitors with a 360-degree view of the city as they walk along a 93-metre glass bridge. Dubai Frame is positioned in such a way that it allows visitors to see landmarks of modern Dubai from the south and older parts of the city from the north.

2. Mohammad Bin Rashid Library Foundation, Dubai
Designed in the shape of an open book sitting on a rehal, (foldable book rest used for placing holy books during recitation) the seven-storey Mohammad Bin Rashid Library will house over 4.5 million books including printed and e-books. The 66,000 square metre library will have areas for events, cultural festivals, as well as venues for exhibitions, and a 500-seat lecture theatre.

3. Self-Flying Taxis, Dubai
The much talked about autonomous air taxi will make a debut following succesful tests in early November. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has teamed up with German drone firm Volocopter to develop the two-seater vehicle.

4. Aladdin City, Dubai
Inspired by the magical tales of Arabian Nights and Sindbad the sailor, this mega project sprawls over 110,000 square metres featuring three towers, designed to resemble Aladdin’s magic lamp, linked by bridges and walkways.

5. Ain Dubai, Dubai
Ain Dubai, previously known as Dubai Eye, will be the world’s largest ferris wheel when ready. The 668 foot tall marvel will carry 1,400 passengers in 48 self-contained capsules, offering visitors a 360-degree-views of the city and its serene coastline.

6. Dubai Arena, Dubai
This 20,000 indoor seater arena will be the venue for music concerts, sporting events such as hockey and NBA as well as other entertainment events. Dubai Arena is being developed by Meraas, responsible for projects like Citywalk, Boxpark and The Beach

7. The Guggenheim, Abu Dhabi
Designed by Pritzer-Prize winning architect Frank Gehry, this transnational museum will be surrounded almost entirely by water and offer spectacular views of the Saadiyat Cultural District and Arabian Gulf. The museum will provide a pre-eminent platform for local, regional and global contemporary art and culture

8. Warner Bros World, Abu Dhabi
A ‘dream come true’ for DC comic fans, this amusement park will have six themed areas; Gotham City, Metropolis, Cartoon Junction, Bedrock, Dynamite Gulch and Warner Bros Plaza. Gotham and Metropolis would be based on the fictional settings of DC Comics superheroes Batman and Superman. The park will feature characters from Warner Bros’ franchises, such as Looney Tunes, DC Comics, Hanna-Barbera, and others.

9. CLYMB, Abu Dhabi
CLYMB, popularly known as an indoor skydiving facility will be the first-of-its-kind space in the world. It will have the world’s tallest climbing wall and the largest flight chamber.

10. Via Ferrata, Ras Al Khaimah
Ras Al Khaimah will be home to the world’s longest zip line which is set to open next month. While the exact length will remain a secret until the opening, it is expected to break the current world record held by ‘The Monster’ in Puerto Rico, which is 2.2 kilometres long.
