Dubai: A 10-year old boy celebrated Emirati Children’s Day yesterday (March 15) by experiencing what it’s like to be a passport officer at Dubai International Airport for a day.

Omar Saood Al Malih, under the guidance of the airport staff, stamped children’s passports and familiarised with travel and verification procedures.

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) fulfilled Omar’s dream by providing the immersive experience. GDRFA Dubai Director-General Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, said the initiative reflects the organisation’s dedication to positively engaging with children’s aspirations and enhancing the capabilities of future generations. He added that the child will be considered as a potential future member of the workforce.
