Superman is ready to take off for Abu Dhabi with the city of Metropolis finding a new home on Yas Island’s Warner Bros. indoor theme park. Needless to say, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash are sure to follow.

The first glimpse of Metropolis was unveiled, along with Cartoon Junction, two of the six themed lands that will be nestled within the Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, which is being touted as the world’s largest indoor theme park when it opens its doors this summer.

The project will feature a total of 29 rides, interactive attractions and live entertainment across its immersive lands, which also include Gotham City, Bedrock, Dynamite Gulch, and a Warner Bros. Plaza; the entertainment and restaurants are inspired by the stories and characters from DC and Warner Bros. Animation.

The land of Metropolis will house the iconic Daily Planet — where Superman’s alter-ego Clark Kent works — along with a Superman 360: Battle for Metropolis attraction where the Man of Steel will engage in a battle in a proverbial battle of good versus evil.

The legendary Hall of Justice, the headquarters of the Justice League, will also find a home in Abu Dhabi, allowing people to experience the Justice League: Warworld Attacks — a ride with immersive media and special effects.

Metropolis will also feature a Green Lantern: Galactic Odyssey, 4D cinema experience, while the Teen Titans Training Academy will offer a multi-level play area featuring a zipline and other physical activities.

Souvenirs to take home include your picture on the front page of The Daily Planet.

Meanwhile, Cartoon Junction will bring to life the iconic characters and animated stories from Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera, including Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety, Sylvester, Elmer Fudd, among others. These will be features across nine rides and attractions in the zone, including a classic haunted ride with Scooby-Doo The Museum of Mysteries.

“With the park well on track to open its doors to the public within mere months, we are incredibly excited to share our story with audiences around the world, and will be announcing the exact opening date very soon.” said Mark Gsellman, Park General Manager, in a statement.
