City Swim begins on October 8

First of four open water challenges takes place at Sheraton Jumeirah

Dubai: The first of four open water swimming races will take place at the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort in Dubai on October 8 with over 200 swimmers set to take part.

Other City Swim UAE events will be held at the Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort and Spa on November 26, Le Meridien, Abu Dhabi on January 21, and the Ajman Saray on March 4.

Organisers invite swimmers of all ability to take part in the series, with distances ranging from 250-metres to 2,500-metres. Each event will be manned by kayakers and there will also be a post-race celebration for swimmers and their supporters.

A spokesperson for the event said: “City Swim UAE is the perfect event for experienced swimmers as well as those that are new to the sport. Our aim is to provide a safe and fun environment for all swimming abilities and partnering with some of the best resorts in the UAE means we have the perfect platform to offer something unique for everyone whether you are taking part or supporting your friends and family.”
