Al Ain: The knock-out phase of the UAE Schools Cup in Al Ain wrapped up on Saturday with Emirates Private, Sultan Bin Zayed and Al Dhafra Private schools all progressing to the national semi-finals in respective Under-16, Under-14 and Under-12 categories.

In the girl’s tournament Manor Hall made the national semis from Al Ain, and American International did the same from Abu Dhabi.

The School and Streets Cup continued in Abu Dhabi with International Community beating Emirates National to take control of Group C in the Under-16s.

Al Suqoor and Emirates Private made it through to the knockouts in the Under-14 category and Al Dhafra look like strong contenders for the national semis in the Under-12s.

In the UAE Streets Cup in Al Ain, Al Ain Team X and The Mavericks progressed from the Under-16 and Under-14 categories and in Abu Dhabi teams making it through from respective Under-16 and Under-14 categories are NP FC and Future Stars.

Standout talents from Abu Dhabi included Hazem Kittara from Future Stars and Abdul Hadi from NP FC. Al Dhafra’s Yousuf Hamdan and Mohammad Sadea also impressed in the Under-12s. Full results are posted on www.dufc.ae and respective Facebook pages marked UAE Schools Cup and UAE Streets Cup.
