Sharjah: Teams from India and GCC countries have recorded impressive victories in the ongoing Ten Premier League (10PL) Gully cricket tournament being held at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Former Indian Test star Virender Sehwag, who is the brand ambassador for this tennis ball tournament, will present Dh115,000 for the winners on Friday. The intense battle for the richest prize money ever for a tennis ball tournament witnessed some outstanding performances.

Tennis ball specialist batsman Krishna Satpute followed up his knock of an unbeaten 53 for Pacific Ventures with an unbeaten 26 in their team’s nine-wicket win over Globe West Star Shipping. One of the finest knocks came from S. Shreyas, who cracked an unbeaten 83 in Team Petromann team’s 56 runs win over Al Falah Cricket Club from Saudi Arabia. One of the fighting knocks in a defeat was from Amish Khan of Radio 4FM. He hit an unbeaten 21 in his team’s meagre total of 47 for eight against Hanan Cricket Club of Qatar.

One of the finest bowling spells came from M. Sajid of Al Falah Cricket Club of Saudi Arabia. He took four wickets for just three runs to bowl out Shehenshah Warriors Pakistan for 29 runs. A. Rahul of SKC Goa too produced a fine performance of four wickets for six runs in two overs to restrict Radio 4 Dubai to 43 for nine.
