Dubai: Ocean Fair International team, the hosts of the Ocean Fair Cup being held at the Dubai Investment Park ground, posted one of the biggest scores in a Twenty20 tournament in the UAE.

Riding on Jacob Ritchie’s breezy knock of 171, Ocean Fair posted a mammoth 323 for 4 in 20 overs and recorded a 171 run victory over Power House team.

The Ocean Fair’s total, though in a domestic tournament, is higher than Australia’s highest score in Twenty20 internationals when they scored 263 for 3 against Sri Lanka at Pallekele in 2016.

Ocean Fair captain Freddy Sidhwa won the toss and elected to bat. Ritchie’s knock that came off 55 balls with 14 sixes and 15 boundaries on a turf wicket stunned everyone. He was well supported by Zawar Hussain (43), Waqas Ahmeed 34 n.o.

Power House team which were shattered after the aggressive batting display were bowled out for 151 runs. Their captain Ijaz Ahmad hit 41 runs while Arshid Munir scored 32.

Waqas Ahmad sparkled with the ball too and bagged 4 for 35, while Sidhwa Qadir Nawaz chipped in with two wickets each. Ritchie, who hails from Pakistan was rightly adjudged man of the match.

In the ongoing One Stop Tourism 43rd Bukhatir Premier League, Ganesh Gaikwad scored an unbeaten century, while Fayyaz Ahmad missed it by just four runs as New Medical Centre defeated Bukhatir XI by 20 runs.

In another match, One Stop Tourism continued their winning streak to top their group with a 124-run victory over Fly Emirates
