Dubai: Dubai has been chosen to host the second round of the four-legged Fina/NVC Diving World Series during the 2016 season.

The FINA/NVC Diving World Series will consist of four stops starting with Beijing on March 11-13, followed by Dubai on March 17-19, Windsor in Canada on April 15-17 and the final round in a yet unnamed city in Russia on April 22-24.

This annual event is one of the most prestigious and exclusive competition that sends out invitations only to internationally-recognised divers, mostly medallists from previous Olympics, World Championships and World Cups.

The competition is held at prestigious venues and cities and 2016 will be no exception. In Beijing, the competition will be staged in the iconic Water Cube where the 2008 Summer Olympic Games took place and the Fina World Swimming Championships (25m) 2010 venue will be reused in Dubai.

Next season will be a busy one for all divers as besides the Fina/NVC Diving World Series, the Diving World Cup will be held in Rio de Janeiro on February 19-24. The World Cup will be both a qualifier and a test event for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
