Dubai: Entrance to afternoon sessions at next week’s Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Series Finals at Dubai Opera from June 6-8 will be free for families, it was announced on Monday.

The top eight players on the Road to Dubai standings qualify for the June 6-10 year-ender, which has US$160,000 (Dh587,664) on offer in both men’s and women’s draws.

The line-ups include 10 past and present World No. 1s, as well as both current world champions. Four matches will be played in each afternoon session during the group stage from June 6-8.

Afternoon matches start at 3pm, while evening sessions start at 9.30pm. The top two players in each group of four progress to the semi-finals, which take place from 9.30pm on June 9, with the finals from 9.30pm on June 10.

The men’s line-up includes current World No. 1 and world champion Karim Abdel Gawad of Egypt, along with five other former World No. 1s; defending champion Gregory Gaultier of France, England’s Nick Matthew and James Willstrop, Egypt’s Mohammad El Shorbagy and Ramy Ashour. El Shorbagy will be joined by his younger brother Marwan, while Germany’s Simon Rosner completes the eight.

The women’s line-up consists of current World No. 1 and world champion Nour El Sherbini of Egypt, three former World No. 1s in; Egypt’s Raneem El Welily, England’s defending champion Laura Massaro and Malaysia’s eight-time world champion Nicol David. Egypt’s Nouran Gohar, England’s Sarah-Jane Perry and Alison Waters, and France’s Camille Serme, who topped the women’s Road to Dubai rankings.
