Dubai: DIB Knight Riders, Abela & Co. and Evergreen proved to be the best in the International Cricket Council Academy’s (ICC) HTC Ultra Cup held at the ICC Academy indoor stadium.
In the Gold Division final, DIB Knight Riders recorded a thrilling win scoring 64 over SFS that totalled 61.
DIB had even stopped the formidable DBMSC — A team in the semi-final.
In the Silver Division final, Abela & Co outplayed Falcons for the title. Abela posted 90 runs but Falcons could manage only 68.
The Bronze division final saw Evergreen emerging the winners against Shagarah Panthers.
Evergreen scored 80 to Panthers 73.
Meanwhile the Gold Plate final was won by Dubai Qalandars scoring 87 to Icons’ 62 runs.
In the Ocean Fair Cup being held at the DIP ground, ANIB Bulls scored an emphatic eight wicket win over Ocean Fair. ANIB, who are on a winning spree, in many tournaments, restricted Ocean Fair to 105 for 9 in 20 overs.
ANIB reached the target in just 12.3 overs through Anurag Nashat’s unbeaten 78.
In the newly launched Al Dhaid Invitation T20 Tournament organised by the Sharjah Cricket Council, Mohammed Yasir cracked a half century to ensure TNS defeat Taha Club by 16 runs.
