Umm Al Quwain: Advantage Motors posted a massive victory over Al Futtaim Honda to clinch the UAQ-Ramadan T20 Bash organised by the Umm Al Quwain Cricket Club.

The tournament was held under the supervision of the Emirates Cricket Board and played under the auspices of the Ajman Cricket Council and Domestic Cricket Development Committee.

Put in to bat first, Advantage Motors were in an aggressive mood as they piled on a massive 227 for four in 20 overs. Hafeez Kalim was the top scorer with 93 from only 47 balls supported by six boundaries and eight sixes while Yasir Kaleem smashed a 35-ball 53 containing five hits to the fence and two over it.

Mohammad Waseem kept the progress in check in the middle overs as he cracked a fine 23-ball 37 peppered with six fours and one six.

Nadir Husain (15n.o) and Mohammad Boota (14) made crucial contributions as Advantage Motors had a brilliant total to defend. For Al Futtaim Honda Vineet Narayan, Arun Alex and Arif Hussain all claimed a wicket each.

Chasing a big target, Al Futtaim Honda looked to be under pressure right from the start. Abdul Shakoor and Amjad Gul scored an identical 32 coming off 26 and 18 deliveries respectively but wickets kept falling at regular intervals that disturbed the flow. Amir Hayat again raised the hope when he suddenly brought the match to life with a 16-ball 45 peppered with eight fours and two sixes but Mohammad Amir Shahzad bowled a great spell claiming five wickets in his four overs as Al Futtaim Honda were all out for 168 in 18.5 overs.

Nadir Husain and Asif Mumtaz were the other successful bowler claiming two wickets.
