Abu Dhabi: The UAE Pro League Committee’s annual three-day pre-season workshop gets under way on Thursday at the Yas Rotana Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

The yearly workshop is organised to inform match officials and club representatives of the most significant amendments and updates to the Arabian Gulf League’s regulations for the coming season, as well as offering lectures on technical and organisational aspects of the game delivered by a series of international experts.

The first day will tackle the adjustments made to the various competition regulations relating to technical, media and broadcast issues, whilst the second will be dedicated to match organisation and security lectures provided by football experts from Uefa and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), in addition to a full review of updates to the PLC accreditation system.

The third and final day will cover a range of topics, including clubs’ social media best practices, a discussion about cooling breaks, and various case studies of the Premier League and Uefa.
