Abu Dhabi: A double from Ahmad Al Attas earned the UAE Olympic Team a 2-2 draw with Saudi Arabia in the second friendly at the Prince Faisal Bin Fahad Stadium in Riyadh on Wednesday.
At half-time, the hosts led 2-1.
Al Attas put UAE in the lead with a strike as early as the 10 minute but the hosts managed to draw level in the 25th through Ali Al Asmari. Sami Al Naji made it 2-1 but the UAE pressed hard after the change of ends and Al Attas saved the day for them with a strike in the 60th. The first friendly against Saudi Arabia ended 1-1. The two friendlies were part of the preparations for the AFC Under-23 Championship China 2018 Qualifiers, which take place this month.
