Dubai: The second round of the Dubai 43ft sailing race to be held off the Mina Seyahi waters of the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) will put safety first as usual for the meet on Saturday, the organising committee from the DIMC Sailing Committee has announced.

‘Ghazi’, owned by Mohammad Ahmad Jaber and skippered by Ahmad Saeed Al Rumaithi had won first place in the opening heat of the championship held at the start of the season.

Ali Bin Hendi, Board Member, DIMC, stressed that the continued success of the events is due to the commitment shown by the sailors in cooperating with various government agencies such as the Coast Guard and Dubai Police. “Safety has always been high on our list of priorities and I am glad that each race has been conducted safely and successfully,” Bin Hendi said.
