Dubai: Tickets for the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) went on sale in the UAE on Monday. The last leg of the four-stage series — which features legends of the game from past and present — takes place at the 12,000 all-seater Hamdan Sports Complex in Dubai from December 11-13.

The series starts in Manila, Philippines, on November 28-30, before heading to Singapore, December 2-4 and India, December 6-8. Tickets for the opening leg in Manila have already generated over $500,000 (Dh1.8 million) in a week.

Each host city has a representative side, and a total of 24 matches in round robin format across the four cities will determine the inaugural champion.

The UAE will be represented by the UAE Royals, a team comprising of current World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, recent Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard, former World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki, World No. 14 Richard Gasquet, former Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanisevic, doubles specialist Nenad Zimonjic and the world’s current highest ranked Arab player Malek Jaziri (World No. 89).

Among the 28 players across all four teams, there are 21 Grand Slam winners and 14 current and former World No. 1s.

Tickets for the UAE leg of the tournament will be available as day passes or season passes in regular, corner prime or VVIP sections. Customers who opt to purchase season passes get ten per cent discount.
