Dubai: Tickets for next month’s Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships are expected to sell out fast when they go on sale on Monday, organisers have said.

The Dubai Tennis Stadium will be the most popular place in town from February 18 to March 2, with players of the calibre of world No 1 Victoria Azarenka, Serena Williams and defending champion Agnieszka Radwanska battling it out for the women’s crown. World No 1 Novak Djokovic, five-time Dubai winner and perennial favourite Roger Federer and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will be among the top players fighting it out for the men’s crown.

Colm McLoughlin, executive vice-chairman of Dubai Duty Free, said: “We are again welcoming a stellar lineup of the top men and women and expect that tickets will sell out fast, so we encourage all tennis fans to snap them up as soon as they can. With so many top players entered, even the early-round matches will be marvellous entertainment and tickets to see the top seeds play are only Dh50.”

The tickets will go on sale at the box office at the Dubai Tennis Stadium, Garhoud, which is open from 9am to 9pm daily. Grandstand ticket prices range from Dh50 for opening rounds to Dh450 for finals, with season tickets also available.
