Dubai: The Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) will be organising the second round of the Dubai Traditional 30ft Rowing Race this weekend.
The organising committee has opened registration for the race that will be held from Mina Seyahi at 3pm on October 13.
The opening round of the competition had drawn an entry field of 39 boats comprising of more than 400 participants forcing race organisers to split the race into two groups.
‘Shanas’, owned by Oman’s Ministry of Sports Affairs and skippered by Majid Amer Al Mu’a won the first race, while the second half was won by ‘Dubai 1’ owned and skippered by Ahmad Mohammad Ebrahim Al Mar’ei. The third round of the championship will be held on November 17 followed by the final round during the course of the Al Maktoum Cup to be held on December 15.
