London: England forward Tom Youngs will miss the November internationals after his club Leicester announced on Tuesday that he will be sidelined for three months due to a shoulder problem.

Youngs, 27, injured himself in Leicester’s 45-0 English Premiership defeat at Bath on Saturday.

Leicester director of rugby Richard Cockerill told a press conference that the hooker would be out until the end of the year, ruling him out of England’s games with New Zealand, South Africa, Australia and Samoa.

Youngs missed England’s tour of New Zealand earlier this year after his wife became ill.

Leicester have already lost captain Ed Slater for the season after he had to undergo knee surgery, but Tom Croft and Geoff Parling are both fit again after spells on the sidelines.
