Dubai Cheerleaders Aggreko Dynamos, who have become a regular feature of the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens, are all set and raring to go once again from December 4 to 6.

Amber Field, the manager and choreographer of the Aggreko Dynamos, says their appeal is that they always come up with fresh ideas and avoid being repetitive. Explaining their philosophy, she said: “The idea is to push ourselves and try and come up with at least eight new routines for every edition, which sounds like a lot but is actually not that daunting, given that the girls can do any style of dance. I also like the group to be fresh every time, so I try to find at least seven new girls to join us for Dubai every year.”

Twelve cheerleaders will perform at the Sevens next month. All of them are professional dancers, and were selected for the Dubai team after auditions held in Melbourne. The auditions attract hundreds of dancers, all eager to perform for the appreciative crowd at the Sevens.

Looking forward to returning to the UAE, dance captain Bree Kent said: “It’s my third year back, and I can’t wait to get back on the pitch. I’m excited again to be helping Amber out with the choreography and leading the girls onto the field. Let me tell you, this year’s routines are going to be amazing!”

The Dynamos have been brought to Dubai once again by Aggreko, a leading company in rental-power and temperature-control for major events such as the FIFA World Cup, Grands Prix and IRB Rugby World Cups. They have been powering the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens for 15 straight years now.

Commenting on their role, Tournament Commercial and Site Operations Manager Donal Kilalea said: “The Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens has always been a complete entertainment package, and about so much more than just the matches. The Aggreko Dynamos are a key part of it, and make every single day of this event so enjoyable for everyone in the stands. Their energetic routines have ensured nobody takes their eyes off the field, even between matches!”
