Dubai: Princess Haya Bint Al Hussain, wife of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has extended her patronage to the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, reaffirming her support for the premier women’s golfing event in the region.

The tournament will be played at the Emirates Golf Club from December 10-13 and Princess Haya has endorsed her patronage for the season-ending Ladies European Tour (LET) event.

Since its inception in 2006, the 500,000 euros (Dhs 2.32 million) event, promoted and organised by golf in DUBAI, the world’s leading golfers from both sides of the Atlantic have showcased their talent, giving the tournament the feel of a Major in women’s golf.

Pornanong Phaltum of Thailand will return to defend her title in a strong field headlined by all-time England greats Laura Davies and Carley Hull, while 2012 champion Shanshan Feng of China has also confirmed.

The Omega Dubai Ladies Masters has luxury watchmaker Omega as title sponsor while Emirates Global Aluminium PJSC is the sponsor. The confirmed co-sponsors are CNN, Drydocks World and Maritime World, Emirates NBD, Gulf News, Jebel Ali Resorts and Hotels, Mercedes and Wasl. Dubai Duty Free, Neocasa Interiors and Motivate Publishing are the patrons in golf in DUBAi’s drive to showcase the emirate’s vibrant golfing scene to a worldwide audience.
