Mont-Blanc, France: Abu Dhabi Racing’s (ADR) junior driver Mohammad Al Mutawaa has come away rich with experience aboard his Citroën DS3 R3 following his outing at Rallye Mont-Blanc, the French Rally Championship.

Co-driven by Niall Burns, 24-year-old Al Mutawaa is happy with the fact that he completed the 200km rally that covered 12 stages over two days.

Al Mutawaa, behind the wheel of a Citroën DS3 R3, mixed aggression with caution in conditions that were cold, wet and foggy which at most times hindered visibility.

The Abu Dhabi Racing driver though is content with the experience he gained in some very tricky and challenging conditions against some of the best drivers in the business. Al Mutawaa pushed hard over the two days to bring his DS3 R3 home safely.

“Day 1 was very tricky with rain and fast, wet stages while Day 2 was also very challenging. The fog at the end of Day 1 was an obstacle so we had to drive very cautiously, but with our good pace notes we were able to commit ourselves,” said Al Mutawaa adding that he is happy to have gained experience in the muddy cuts and damp stages where at times there were dry sections.

“We learnt a lot over two days of racing and improved our flow with the notes. I am happy to complete the rally in these tricky conditions. Thanks again to Shaikh Khalid Bin Faisal Al Qasimi, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Racing, for the great support, to my co-driver Niall Burns and PHSport for preparing a great car. I am now looking forward to the next rally,” added Al Mutawaa.
