Abu Dhabi: Yas Marina Circuit on Thursday announced that the most popular tickets for the 2014 Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix are selling out fast.

The final grand prix of the F1 season will this year take place between Friday, November 21, and Sunday, November 23.

Still up for grabs are three-day tickets for the Main Grandstand, costing Dh2,200, offering views overlooking the start and finish line. Fans who buy these tickets will also have direct views of the main pit garages and the Formula One Paddock Club balcony. Main Grandstand ticket holders will be able to see the starting-grid preparations, the chequered flag and podium ceremony up close.

Also on offer is another three-day ticket package for the North Grandstand, costing Dh2,080.

From this viewing platform, fans will have access to the circuit’s tightest hairpin turn, the longest straight of any F1 circuit and views of the cars coming down from Abu Dhabi Hill on turns four, five and six. North Grandstand ticket-holders will also have easy access to North Star, the before-and-after concert party venue.

Race organisers say the South Grandstand three-day ticket package, costing Dh2,080, offers one of the most spectacular views in motorsport, as the track winds around the marina before passing underneath the five-star Viceroy Abu Dhabi Hotel.

There is also a Marina Grandstand three-day package, which costs Dh2,080, with seats overlooking the GP2 and GP3 racing and the support pits and paddock. Anyone buying between three and nine Marina Grandstand tickets get a 20 per cent discount.
